The PROBE Fair is a chance for you and your student to learn about college options both in and outside of the state of Georgia. This event is highly recommended for all grade levels- even a 9th grader. It is helpful for freshmen to begin to connect the dots between all the work they are doing in high school and what it leads to.
The PROBE Fair will be held on August 31st from 6 to 8 pm at The Classic Center (300 N. Thomas Street, Athens, GA 30601). Parking is free and it is a drop in event. Over 100 colleges will be in attendance on this evening. The best part is that it is FREE!
We are including a list of great questions to ask a college rep. Also, don't forget that these reps, especially from small private colleges, will be forming first impressions of you. Dressing somewhat professionally is not a terrible idea. This does not mean to put on your Sunday, go-to-meeting best, but it does mean to leave the ripped jeans, beer logo t-shirt, hats, etc. at home. You want to make a good impression.
