The Office of Undergraduate Admission would like to invite
interested students to an exciting opportunity to explore Emory University, a
nationally-ranked research university that offers the best of a liberal arts
education in a residential setting. Since its founding in 1836, Emory has grown
into an internationally recognized destination university that brings in
talented students and esteemed faculty from around the world.
Through all of this growth, Emory remains true to its roots,
with almost 15% of students hailing from Georgia, the greatest representation
of any state. We recognize that every year, an extraordinary number of the
talented, bright young students we hope to enroll are right here in our home
state. We want to offer these students an experience that goes far beyond our
regular campus tour; an experience that authentically captures the daily life
of an Emory student.
That’s why we’ve organized Georgia Visit Day, a special
visit opportunity available only to Georgia high school seniors. Each
prospective student will spend part of their day with a current Emory student,
attend class, eat lunch at the Dobbs University Center, and visit Wonderful
Wednesday, a favorite Emory tradition. They’ll also hear from current students
from Georgia and our admission and financial aid staff.
We are looking for top academic
achievers, passionate community leaders, and intellectually curious learners.
