The counselors are often asked to register a student to take the ACT or the SAT. Unfortunately, we cannot do this as it is a private transaction between the student/family and the respective testing company. Registration for each test takes about 30 minutes the first time. To register for the ACT, go to www.act.org. To register for the SAT, go to www.collegeboard.com.
As featured in this picture, we have placed brochures in the Commons Area that guide families on how to register to take the ACT and the SAT. Students are encouraged to take a brochure as needed.
The best time to take one of these tests is when a student is nearing the completion of either Advaced Algebra or Accelerated Analytic Geometry or afterward. He or she should have enough math to be ready to know how to do the math on the test.
