Dear Parents,
After Prom is just 31/2 months away and it is time to get
everyone involved. We need more parents
to become involved to help make this event a great night for our students. As the saying goes, many hands makes for
light work!
Are you good at spreading the word about events? Do you like to eat and know a lot of
restaurants in the Oconee/Athens area?
Do you enjoy working with enthusiastic students? Are you familiar with a
lot of the local businesses in the area?
Do you work in the advertising business?
Are you creative? Do you have
great ideas, but need help making them become a reality? Are you a good organizer? Do you like to
entertain and throw parties?
If any of these skills listed apply to you, then we need you
to come to the after prom meetings! You
will make new friends, have lots of laughs, and most importantly be a part of
really important and fantastic event that keeps our children safe.
Our meetings are held at OCHS in the career center (head
toward the cafeteria and we will find you!) on Monday nights from 6:30 -
8:00(at the latest). Our meeting dates
are January 11, February 8, March 14, March 28, April 11.
We hope to see you Monday January 11 at 6:30! Everyone has something to offer! Our student committee's enthusiasm is contagious! Let's help them have the night of their
dreams!
