STEM Program For Young Women at Kennesaw State

On February 20, 2017, Kennesaw State University will host SCIENTISTA, an on-campus outreach program geared to introducing young women to high demand STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) programs at KSU, which lead to high demand career opportunities later on.

SCIENTISTA is an all women event open to 100 young women in high school. The event consists of meeting with women who have established themselves in the STEM career field. Students will learn everything from admission requirements, financial aid, advising, campus life, housing, and much more! During the day, students will have the opportunity to meet current KSU faculty, staff, and students! Below are the details of the event:

When: Monday, February 20, 2017
Time: 8:30am to 3:15pm
Where: Kennesaw State University - Marietta Campus
Attendees: High School Females (grades 9th - 12th)

Tentative Schedule:
8:30am - Check-in
9:00am - Welcome/Kickoff
10:00am - Careers in STEM
10:30am - Campus Tour
11:00am - Lunch at Stingers
11:45am - Organization Fair
12:20pm - 2:30pm - STEM Breakout Sessions
3:00pm - Group Picture
3:15pm - Wrap up and last Q&A


Register for SCIENTISTA

Check-in opens at 8:30 a.m. in the Marietta Campus Joe Mack Wilson Student Center 2nd floor with the program beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes, as you will be walking around our beautiful campus! If you need special assistance, please give us a call as soon as possible at 470-578-6500.

Campus events are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. You will be notified via email and/or phone should a cancellation occur. Special weather statements can also be viewed through the Kennesaw State University website. Should the University be closed, all campus tours and events will be canceled.
