Life is Not Fair- Mission Drives Admission

The purpose of the article below is for graduated senior parents to understand why their student didn't get admitted to the school of their choice- and I think it is a great article for that audience.

HOWEVER, I think that underclassman would be wise to read this article to see how Mr. Clark connects that a school's vision and mission for admission/institutional goals drives the boat for who gets into that school of choice.  His evaluation of how Amherst and CalTech are similar yet very different, is spot on with admissions decisions.  If you are an underclassman and reaching for a college that is competitive for admissions- so read up!
