Pre-College Talk To Have With Your Student

The LA Times released an article that shed some light on how students handle the mental health aspect of transitioning to college.  When I went to college (years ago) there were lots of chats in my home about a budget, smart choices, and GRADES.  The mental health and transition piece was never discussed.  In the article below, it shares some pretty astounding numbers that students would benefit from hearing how to navigate the emotional experience that they will encounter as they go off to college.  If you have a graduated senior/rising college freshman, this would be a great read!
