UGA- Lunch And Learn

Applying to UGA: Are you feeling lost?

I love google maps!  It can take away anxiety by providing me with a step by step plan that helps me reach my destination.  It helps me plan a clear path (avoiding traffic/alternate route if there is a wreck) and helps give me a time frame for my journey.  In the counseling office, we hope that we can become the google maps of college admissions for our students.  By having senior meetings and keeping a close connection with our students throughout the process, we want to help them navigate whatever path they are choosing to take after high school.

On September 1st UGA will go live with their undergraduate application portal.  The NOHS counseling office wants our students to be prepared for the application process before they begin the application.  In order to provide some insight and direction, we will host a lunch and learn on Thursday, August 30th for our students.  We will meet during each lunch period (1st-4th) to review the application process for UGA.  If your student is entertaining UGA as a post-secondary option, please have them come by the PLC on August 30th during their lunch period.  Please make sure that you use this resource!  Students can bring their packed lunch or quickly pick up a lunch from our cafeteria and head to the PLC on Thursday.  No registration is necessary for the event.  We don't want to "lose" any students because they didn't use their map and made some critical mistakes in the admissions process.  We look forward to seeing you Thursday, August 30th during your lunch period!
