This scholarship may be stacked with other funding sources such as Hope/Zell Miller scholarships and may be used for attendance-related expenses such as tuition, fees, housing, and textbooks. Acceptance is limited to 25 Honors College students per year. The application for this prestigious cohort is part of the Honors College application found at honors.kennesaw.edu.The deadline to apply for the PEGS program is March 20, 2019.
Great Books Honors Cohort
In this one-year cohort program, students take two courses each fall and spring semester from a special selection of History, English, Art, Philosophy, and/or Political Science general education courses using classic literature as texts, rather than traditional textbooks. They also take an Honors Colloquia course together each semester as a cohort and have additional specialized co-curricular events and community service opportunities. The Great Books program culminates in a wonderful Honors faculty-led short-term study abroad trip to Italy. Students accepted into the Great Books program receive approximately $1,000. in academic scholarships during the program year. Several additional scholarships to support international travel are available to students participating in this cohort.
