Excellent learning and engagement
opportunity for high school students!
GSBA Youth Advisory Council members (YAC) will
have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and contribute to
their community by affecting positive change for students across Georgia.
Not only will these discussions impact the lives of other students, but
it will also provide valuable knowledge for public education leaders
throughout the state. Topics that the students will be exploring include:
- School
Climate and Safety
- Social
and Emotional Needs of Today’s Students
- College
and Career Opportunities
- Public
Speaking
- And
Much More
Requirements for Consideration:
- Sophomore
or Junior in the 2020-2021 school year
- Attend
a public school in the state of Georgia
- Must
commit to attending all YAC meetings – two in-person and 4 video
conferences
- Must
complete the full application process – electronic application (1st
round) and video submission (2nd round)
- Be
open-minded and willing to work with peers
