UNG Dual Enrollment Admission Criteria Adjusts Due to COVID-19

UNG has provided the information listed below to help families navigate the changes in their dual enrollment program during this season.

Message from UNG:  Because you have students who attend UNG for dual enrollment, I wanted to update you that UNG is currently allowing use of PSAT scores in place of SAT/ACT scores for summer and fall 2020 semester admissions.  We understand that with the cancellation of SAT/ACT dates, many students were unable to test to complete their application for dual enrollment.

If you have a student interested in attending UNG for dual enrollment, but was unable to complete an ACT/SAT, please encourage them to go ahead and apply and we can accept them based on PSAT scores.   The PSAT scores needed for admissions are:
PSAT Scores:  490 EBRW, 440 Math, 960 Combined
If you have a student applying with PSAT scores, the score needs to be emailed by the high school counselor to the UNG Admissions Office at admissions-ocn@ung.edu  to be added to the student’s application.

Also, if you had a student who previously applied for fall semester and was denied based on their ACT/SAT score, they can have their PSAT score emailed by their counselor and ask UNG Admissions to review them again for admission with the PSAT score.  The student just needs to email admissions-ocn@ung.edu to ask to be reevaluated with the PSAT score.

More information about applying as a dual enrolled student with the PSAT score can be found here:  https://ung.edu/undergraduate-admissions/dual-joint-enrollment.php
