FREE Stanford Summer Program for High School Girls

Stanford Summer Program is a no-cost, virtual summer camp for high school age girls interested in STEM, run by a group of Stanford undergraduates passionate about STEM outreach. Students will learn how to code in Python, then use these coding skills to work on projects where they will get a look at how scientists use programming to solve problems and model phenomena in different scientific and engineering fields.  Students will work on these projects in small groups led by Stanford undergrads where they will receive personalized attention and develop relationships with female mentors in STEM. Students will also have the opportunity to attend talks given by female Stanford professors and graduate students where they will learn about their research, experiences, and career paths. Absolutely no coding experience or advanced science/math courses are necessary. The only requirement to be eligible is to be a high school age student. While this camp is geared towards girls in STEM, students of all genders and gender identities are welcome.  The camp will take place July 27th – August 7th, conducted entirely through video chat, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM Pacific Time.
