Horizon Award Student Scholarship |
SACAC is thrilled to announce that the 2021-2022 Horizon Award is now live for students to apply. The Horizon Award will be awarded to five high school students in the amount of $1,000 for one-time use. As a matching award, a college counselor or Community Based Organization advisor who has been nominated by the chosen students will receive $1,000 to be used towards professional development opportunities, such as conference registration fees, annual membership dues for SACAC, or fees associated with participation in any SACAC event. Horizon Award recipients are high school seniors attending schools within the nine-member states of SACAC (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee) and the Caribbean. In addition to the application itself, students will be asked to supply a name and email address for a recommender. The application can be accessed at this link.
