Walton EMC Walter Harrison
Walton Electric Membership Corporation is pleased to offer our students a scholarship opportunity. In 1987, Georgia EMC, along with the 42 EMCs in Georgia, established a scholarship fund in honor of Walter Harrison. Harrison, called "Mr. Rural Electrification" in Georgia, was nationally known for his lifetime efforts to make electricity available to every home and farm in Georgia.
Fourteen scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded for 2022. The scholarship application and criteria list is attached. Please return the application to the Counseling Office by 3:30 on Friday, January 7, 2022.
