Parents and Students:

Are you looking for an easy way to learn more about college options in Georgia and outside of the state?  I know that in meetings with juniors and parents, we have found that many students have no idea about what they want to do after graduation in regards to colleges that are on the radar.  This is due in large part to the lack of exposure to options.  This college fair is a great way to start conversations and thought processes about future planning with your student.  (Parents of FRESHMEN and SOPHOMORES, this message is for you...)

This event is free.  It is also extremely informative as there will be break out sessions for students and parents as well:
  • Selective Admissions – What Really Counts!
  • Understanding the Common Application
  • Inclusive Campus Environments for Students with Special Needs
  • Understanding the Relevance of Historically Black Colleges & Universities
  • Athletic Eligibility
  • Move on When Ready: Early College Options in Georgia
  • The College Planning Timeline and Preparing for the College Visit
  • Exploring Transfer Options in Georgia
  • Why Take the ACT?
  • What’s New with the SAT?
  • Test Optional: What Are My Options?
  • The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Conducting a Successful Scholarship Search
  • Financial Aid Planning and the HOPE Scholarship
Registration for this event will make the experience smooth, as they will assign a barcode to your student that can be scanned by admissions representatives that will save your student from having to fill out information cards at each college they want more information from.
