Making An Impression

The Georgia Tech Admissions office posts excellent reading material about college admissions on a regular basis.  I, however, truly enjoyed reading this post for a life lesson.  We have all had situations that relate to the story in their most recent post.  Moments of frustration can cause us to react in ways that are not in alignment with who we truly are and our exhibited behaviors at that moment in time do not make us proud after that moment.  This article shares how owning those behaviors and coming back to that person and apologizing can have a huge impact on the person that we "fussed" at and how we feel about ourselves when we have time to reflect on that conversation.  In my own reflections, I am also left with how are we modeling to our students appropriate ways to deal with conflicts and road blocks in our never ending list of todo's.  In this age that we live in of fast paced lives with lots of things to check off of our lists, I think this article is timely for us all.
