This time of year is filled events that recognize and celebrate the end of an era for seniors and their parents.
The UGA admissions blog is helping our senior parents visualize what will come in the fall when their student begins a new chapter, college. This post provides some great analogies that can help parents prepare for the first semester of college and shares how kids should begin taking the wheel a little more. Summer is a great time for them to learn various skills that they might not have needed until now- how to wash their clothes, teaching them how to budget, etc. Let them begin getting an allowed amount of money and then let them pay for what they will be responsible for in college and see how it goes.
