Rensselaer Medal For An Outstanding Student

The Medalist selection deadline has been extended to May 15, 2017.

For more than 100 years, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has awarded the Rensselaer Medal to exemplary high school students. This merit scholarship has a value of $100,000 and is guaranteed for 4 years (5 years for B.Arch. students) for each medalist who is accepted and enrolls at Rensselaer. This is your chance to recognize one outstanding member of the Class of 2018.

To be honored with the Rensselaer Medal, a student must:

Be ranked within the top 10% of their class
Be a high school junior
Excel in advanced math and science courses (chemistry, lab-based physics, and at least four years of math, including pre-calculus, are required for admission to Rensselaer)
Demonstrate potential for success in a challenging academic setting
Exhibit significant involvement in extracurricular activities

Please Note: Interest in attending Rensselaer is not required
