Good afternoon and welcome back to school!
Attached is a letter from Congressman Hice informing you of
a wonderful opportunity for your students to attend a United States Service
Academy. Also attached is a copy of
Congressman Hice’s Academy Day flier. We are mailing a packet of information to
the guidance counselors and or principals at each district high school.
There are five service academies:
· U.S.
Military Academy at West Point
· U.S. Air
Force Academy
· U.S. Naval
Academy
· U.S.
Merchant Marine Academy
· U.S. Coast
Guard Academy
Students who earn an appointment will receive a full
scholarship (worth nearly a half million dollars) to include room, board,
tuition, health care, and a stipend. And
upon graduation, they will be commissioned officers in the United States Armed
