A Year-By-Year Guide to Gearing Up For Graduation

The high school experience is typically a four year journey.  Our counseling office works with students for all four years as a way to see them through their entire high school expedition.  We find that they grow and develop in ways that are astounding and truly impressive.

For those of you that are in the moment of the senior year, think back to what you were like as freshman-Whew! What a change!  Freshman, you are just beginning this fun filled journey and we are excited to be a part of the trip!  The article below provides a play by play of what each grade level student can work on and think about as they work through their "year" of high school.

The end of this article really resonates with our office.  We hope that it does with you as well.

"Although the process doesn’t much resemble what you went through, one thing is still true: The most important result is a child who is healthy emotionally, mentally and physically. The CliffsNotes version is this: Encourage your teen to strive to be the best version of themselves throughout high school. They are enough; they don’t have to be perfect. They will find the right place. Repeat this early and often, and the rest is details."
