Georgia State Scholarship Opportunity

Greetings!

We at the Honors College at Georgia State University want to let you know that we have moved up the application deadline for our Presidential Scholarship to November 15, 2018.

The earlier Presidential Scholarship deadline means that prospective students must also apply to Georgia StateUniversity by November 9, 2018 to be eligible for scholarship consideration.

As you may know, our competitive Presidential Scholarship program recognizes incoming university freshmen who were leaders in their high schools with superior academic achievement, a commitment to service and inspiring personal qualities. The Class of 2022 Presidential Scholars boasted an average SAT score of 1431, ACT score of 32.5, GPA of 3.96.

In addition to participating in an engaging, selective college community amidst the vast opportunities of a large and evolving public research university, our Presidential Scholars receive competitive financial benefits, including:
  • Cost of tuition (through HOPE/ZELL for GA residents)
  • Cost of mandatory student fees
  • Cost of housing
  • A yearly living expense stipend
  • A one-time $2500 stipend for credit-bearing study abroad expenses
  • Opportunity to compete for a paid University Assistantship where students work on special projects or research in an academic department
This award totals anywhere from $12,244 to $23,474 per year depending on in/out-of-state student status and University Assistantship participation.

As you advise your high achieving seniors this semester, please be mindful of our earlier deadlines.

Thank you,
